Hurricane Matthew is the 14th storm during the 2016 hurricane season and the fifth hurricane. Its strongest point was on October 1st, 2016 when it reached Category 5 according to the Saffir – Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale, and its considered the strongest hurricane since Felix in 2007.

Its path left floods, water damage, broken structures, a large number of people affected and, in some places, death.
