- Start at the top of the wall and work down
- Use plenty of solution, but don’t soak the wall too much
- Let the solution sit on the wall for the time shown on the product label
- Open windows or use fans to help the area dry
- Keep pets and children away from the area until it’s completely dry
- Check humidity levels with a humidity meter and keep them under 60%
- Fix leaks quickly in pipes, roofs, and windows to stop water from getting in
- Add better airflow in bathrooms and kitchens where moisture builds up
- Use exhaust fans when cooking or showering to remove humid air
- Make sure water flows away from your house foundation with good drainage
